The World is YOU
It´s mind-blowing to understand the power that we have, all of us,
to influence our World and that of other people around us.
And yet, we are the most insignificant tiny creatures in this World.
This is one of the many paradoxes of Life.
We are Creators of the Reality we live in.
Our World is NOT the pictures we see in TV or articles we read from media
(their strong influence on our weak minds is very scary though).
Your world is what YOU make out of it.
My feeling is that we are just hooked in that media reality
mainly for the instant suspense and drama and entertainment it offers.
It feels good to think that you are aware of what is going on, that you can react and express your emotions (frustration, sorrow and anger mainly)
spreading your emotional reactions in social media for others to react, too.
However, what if...
the World is nothing but your own magnified mind?
like someone wise once said.
The same idea formulated in Buddhist thinking:
We can never obtain peace in the outer world
until we make peace with ourselves.
Some food for thought.
One of my favourite writers and thinkers Wayne Dyer has also said wisely that
"When we change the way we look at things,
the things we look at change."
For me this has been a very intriguing realization or a paradigm shift, if you wish.
Having a peace of mind and being healthy is my most important priority now.
And for remaining sane, happy and clear-minded
NO NEWS usually brings GOOD news.
* * *
So if you don´t even follow the news
how can you be
contributing to a better world?
It is very simple.
Do what you can
with what you have
where you are.
Before you speak or spread any kind of information
- THINK ! and think! (= think twice)
T - is it True?
H - is it Helpful?
I - is it Inspiring?
N - is it Necessary?
K - is it Kind?
"Raise your words, not your voice.
It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder."
- Rumi
Small efforts but significant effects...
just to get us started in our near surroundings,
caring for the people we share our lives with, the people that matter for us.
YOU mean the world for some of them.
